Rodeo! de Santa Fe
Rodeo! de Santa Fe has entertained guests of Santa Fe hotels since 1949 when
Gene Petchesky and Austin "Slim" Green had a dream and the determination
to organize a rodeo in Santa Fe. This dream exceeded their expectations and became
what is today, one of the top 100 rodeos in the nation.
Each of the performances include all the competitive events - individual and
team roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, saddle and bareback bronc riding
and, last but by far not least, bull riding - and other entertainment including
clowns, surprises and "mutton busting" at every show. Events for children
include the Mutton Bustin' and the Calf Scramble.
There is a wonderful Rodeo store where you can get your Rodeo hats, cups, t-shirts
and other memorable souvenirs. Refreshments include concessions, vendors, and
an expanded beer garden.
Tickets may be purchased at the Rodeo grounds or in advance by calling 505.471.4300
x 1 or online at www.rodeodesantafe.org.
Guests of the Sage Inn are a short drive to the Rodeo Grounds. The Rodeo Grounds
performance venue is a 10 minute drive from the Sage Inn. Guests should follow
Cerrillos Road South, take a left on St. Francis Drive south, and a right on
Rodeo Road.
